Topic: RE: lapband 3/24 anyone else?
I started eating mushies a few days ago too but it was "under-whelming" for sure. I can get a bite or two down. I'm losing weight like crazy - down 40lbs since the operation which is unbelievable. I just bagged up 2 garbage full of fattie clothes and I'm down to size 1X or 40" waist which I don't remember ever achieving in my adult life. It feels great! My energy is returning a bit each day. I had a VSG not a band so the recovery time is a bit different. I was always a very fast loser on diets but the problem was keeping weight off. I can hardly comprehend how it will be to finally keep it off this time. How are the rest of you today? Cheers/Mimi

Wow you are doing great!! Have you lost all that since surgery?? That's awesome! I'm doing pretty well. Got some stitches taken out yesterday and seem to be healing now for the two incisions that were still causing problems, but in a day tey are finally healing up! I hope you are doing well!

I don't have issues either. I keep thinking I am doing something wrong. I can eat 2 ounces comfortably or 3.5 if it is liquid like soup or spaghetti sauce. I can guzzle water or tea and don't get sick. It worries me too. I have hit a stall and I am worried that I won't start losing again too. I need to stay off the scales, but they call my name.

Wow sounds like for some eating is going great I can not get chicken down and for some reason eggs sound totally gross....never been a big fan but could eat scrambled and omelets gladly but not now......
I dream of eating something....just a few bites without getting sick would be nice, I am still eating soups and protien shakes most everything else comes back up.
Topic: RE: March 25th
I also had my surgery March 25. I had to have full liquids the first 4 weeks and just progressed to puree food for the next four weeks. I can have 3 - 2ounce meals daily and need 75-90 grams of protien a day.
I have had no complications. Protien drinks make me really full and I feel uncomfortable and a little icky after drinking them.
I'm trying to increase activity and walking and using exercise bike.
Keep in touch all you March 25, 2009 pals.

Oh I am so glad to have read these! I am two weeks out and same thing..... no issues! No pain after surgery either. And I have heard of people being tired and weak; Nope. I keep joking that they didn't do the surgery. They "tricked" me. I am scared though, that I seem to be able to handle sugar. Also I can eat more than what they say. At this point am I supposed to stick to 2-3 TBS even though I don't feel satisfied?

I asked the same question when I was 3 weeks out. 2 days later I developed a stricture. So go knock on wood and be happy for your uncomplicated weightloss! :)
Congratulations on your weight loss. I hope it continues to go well. BTW, after the stricture I've been great.

I am very similar to you, I haven't had any complications, and I am down 36 pounds so far.
Topic: Anyone else freaking out due to lack of issues??
Okay so many people have told me...No problems are a good thing. I believe that whole heartedly, but I can't help but be scared to death that the process isn't working because I haven't been sick at all. Nothing. No vomit, no upset pouch, I can guzzle what I think is a large amount of water, and only have the chest bubble for a few mins. I have tried a variety of foods, mostly protiens though, with out any issues at all. When I let my self think about it I start going nuts thinking that I'll never get to goal if my eating isn't more restricted. But I guess i'm just being a Worry wort because though I don't know how much I've lost (Doc won't let us weigh except in his office) my clothes are getting big. and i'm able to wear the smaller sizes in my closet. But is anyone else having a lack of issues??
